Stylie Music Studio and That’s The Breaks releases new single Blind Spot in new regional collaboration
Worthington, OH (February 15, 2024)
A long-term staple of the Columbus music scene, musician, songwriter, producer, and teacher Matt Steidle aka “Stylie” recently announced a new song release from Stylie Music Studios/That’s The Break’s titled Blind Spot.
This release features a growing collaboration between Stylie and Broomwater, a newcomer to the scene. Broomwatr's lyrics defy easy categorization. Introspective , sarcastic, poetic, the words grapple with themes of mortality, alienation, joy, love and loss. Broomwater amplifies a yearning for meaning in an increasingly absurd world. Broomwatr elects to be anonymous so that the music speaks first, free from the confines of identity and all the preconceived notions that come with it.
Blind Spot provides a launching point for this collaboration, with releases planned monthly in 2024. The song transports the listener to a man who is struggling with the blind spots he faces with his love, and life. Incorporating Matt Steidle’s signature funk style, with hints of industrial, country, and soul, coupled with singing Mr. Steidle is well known for - Blind Spot ensnares many styles into one seamless road trip.
Blind Spot walks the fine line between love and goodbye, bringing it all back home with the chorus “I look into the rearview, and it starts to rain. I don't even know, will I move forward again?”. This song opens up the questions we all ask ourselves about our relationships and our investment in them, for better or worse. All with a laidback laissez faire style that you can’t help but jive with.
