Don't let your hate
turn you into something
you hate

don't let your love
turn the one you love
away

Don't let the sound
of heartbeats
between blasts
bullets behind masks
hot desert winds
and smoke so thin
it looks like fog
on the sands
ruin your day

don't look in the mirror
if its too late
to change

don't let your eyes
see right through
you

don't dive into the black
of an iris or two
that take you way back
to the beginning of you
defenseless and poor
wretched for sure
and much more pure
then you ever were
then you are now

Don't let your hate
turn you into something
you hate
