I feel the wind on my skin  
I see trees etched in sky  
If it's all a simulation  
damn bonus that guy   
maybe it was a she   
who programmed you and me  
gifted beauty and desire  
and then lit that shit on fire  
as I sit in the bleacher stands  
as I sit staring at my hands  
but right now  
I wanna forget   
that the world exists  
and live  
in the in betwixt  
between the code  
lasers and chips  
erase my memory  
make me forget  
I won't miss the drones  
the undertones  
the look aways  
'how ya' beens  
the tolls you pay  
small-talking every day  
why when i speak  
don't they listen  
why do they speak  
while they glisten  
on and on about  
themselves again again  
never ask, never just *be*  
they talk and talk at me  
why do i feel worse   
when I walk away?  
well, they don't say  
and I don't ask so   
maybe its just me  
me me me me me  
always *me*  
but maybe...  
I saw the straw man  
burn in effigy   
I saw cut straps  
gray against iron panes  
if it's all a simulation  
goddamn it's scary AF  
but i remember  
I can still feel you  
you can still feel me  
that is our reality   
if it's all a simulation  
let me simulate me  
and you simulate you  
I feel the wind on my skin

If it's all a simulation
