That's The Breaks at Local Roots in Powell
Matt Stedile & That's The Breaks had a good show this past week, playing a good mix of originals and covers. Even their covers are different, stylie-fied we call it. Quick videos show this band of TWO people sounds more like a 4-5 piece. They unveiled a couple new covers and even jammed a Coriolis Effect. Here is a clip of them, highlighting Matt Steidle playing the hybrid bass>>guitar.
Alanis Morrisette at Riverbend in Cincinnati
This was an amazing live experience, hands down. Riverbend is a great venue, and she still rocks. Her voice still sounds the same and she has the same energy it feels like as she did when she was on You Can't Do That on Television. She played a wide variety of her songs and the majority of her big hits. But the most amazing thing was the audience, it was clearly a community of people who really love her and her message and music. I actually think that was the coolest part, how much people of all ages and gender were screamin' her lyrics at the top of their longs, very joyous, even though it rained heavily people didn't care!
